The friendly skies
ATLANTA, GA—Aerial Cinema Productions (ACP) recently set up shop in Atlanta and provided aerial support for DreamWorks’ Road Trip. Helicopter pilot, Ray McCort provided coordination, flew the shots using a Bell JetRanger 206B helicopter, directed the aerial unit and got all of the scenes filmed in one day. The aerial shoot involved complicated vehicle coordination traveling over bridges, highways and dirt roads. They mandated several locations in Atlanta area 75 miles apart.

In the past year ACP has worked on several projects in Atlanta, and the southeast area ranging from feature films to commercials. Among its recent credits: Warner Bros.s’ Chill Factor, Paramounts’ Save the Last Dance, and New Line Cinema’s Now and Then. The company also has helicopters located in New York, Washington DC and Chicago.
